The Climb is a 3-track EP that features material that I've been working on over the last couple of years off and on, and is my first release of it's kind. It isn't specifically programmatic, but each track does set a sort of jumping off point for each listener.
1. The Climb - This track is inspired by the idea of a climb. Not necessarily that of a mountain or a hill, but more so our own personal climbs through various aspects of life. Sort of like that feeling of when you get thrown on your ass, and choose to get back up again; when everything seems against you, yet you continue on anyways.
2. The Day After (..the End of the World) - This one posits the thought that even after the end of the world, in many ways, there is still a day after that... there is still a TOMORROW. That despite the darkest of nights and the seeming futility of hope, one can have faith and anchor to the knowledge that soon, there will be a dawn.
3. Dawn - Last but not least, Dawn sets the stage for that new beginning, that new day, where everything is not quite new, but you have another chance. Dawn is the emergence from the dark night, and bears witness to the sun rising on your new tomorrow.
Thank you all so, so, much for listening. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, it means the world to me! I hope that this EP and my music has made a positive impact and in some small way helps you see or remember the light.
